The good news about this summer's weird weather? The waves are up. So, book some lessons and head to one of these seaside pads, all within earshot of the surf
Deepdale Tipis, north Norfolk
Most surfers can't wait to get into the water, but when your accommodation is
a Sioux-style tipi, you know your time out of the water will be just as
memorable. Deepdale's tipis each sleep six adults, come with a fully laid floor,
a ready-made fire and enough headroom to stand up and walk around. They also run
a high-standard hostel for those who require extra facilities.
For kitesurfers, most spots in the area work in any wind direction, except
from the south, and all have great shallow water due to the long tidal range.
Brancaster is on Deepdale's doorstep and has perfect lagoons between mid and
high tide. Just to the west, Hunstanton offers perfect flat and shallow riding
around low tide.
