The Tour of Britain Cycle Race, the nations biggest live spectator event is coming to Norfolk in September 2010
Day 6 of The Tour of Britain Cycle Race visits the north Norfolk coast and the race route passes right through Burnham Deepdale and up and over the hill to Burnham Market.
96 professional elite cyclists from around the world ride in teams of six. The competitors will cycle from Kings Lynn, along the Norfolk coast road, through Brancaster Staithe and Burnham Deepdale to Sheringham, then South through Aylsham to Norwich, before heading East to Great Yarmouth.
Over 70,000 spectators are expected to line the route, so why not enjoy this amazing event by staying at Burnham Deepdale and watching the event from various excellent vantage points along our part of the route. You may not believe it, but it also includes the first King of the Mountain section, as the competitors cycle White Hills road hill up and over to Burnham Market. (Who ever said Norfolk was flat!)
